Skeldale House offers seven unique apartments that bring together mid-century styling and ornate detailing with upmarket, modern appliances for the ultimate in comfort and luxury. We’ve provided each apartment with comfortable beds, roll-top baths, and 58’’ 4K Ultra HD TVs to enjoy after a day out in beautiful Wensleydale. As with all Maison Parfaite properties, our attention to detail is second to none.

For viewers of the TV classic, All Creatures Great and Small, much pleasure is derived from staying in the actual, original filming location. We’ve even installed a fully operational Austin 10 outside the front door!

You’ll be thrilled by the luxurious décor that greets you as you step through the door at Skeldale House. There’s a distinct nod to the 1950’s era with the mid-century styling and ornate detailing. Juxtaposed perfectly with the slick modernist style kitchens, 58’’ 4K Ultra HD TV’s and sumptuously elegant, comfortable beds and roll top baths, you’ll be able to kick off your hiking boots and wallow in the luxury of it all!

As with all Maison Parfaite Properties the attention to detail is second to none.

We have also installed an Austin 10 outside the front door – just so that you can take your Instagram pics and get the full All Creatures Great and Small experience at Skeldale House.

About Askrigg

Askrigg itself is a charming, picture-perfect Dales Village. The whole village was ‘Darrowby’ the fictional town in All Creatures Great and Small, so you’ll find much of it very familiar!

One of the three pubs in the village, The Kings Arms, which sits opposite Skeldale House on the main street was The Drovers Arms, where James, Tristan and Siegfried finished many a traumatic shift off with a stiff drink!

From Askrigg you can embark on so many walks without the need to drive off to another start point, and the main street is blessed with not only three pubs but also The Bake Well Café and numerous shops. The market town of Hawes is just a short drive or a hike away, and here you can sample the delights of The Creamery where you can try every variety of Wensleydale Cheese known to man!
